The Crescent Inn
We worked with The Crescent Inn in Ilkley to restore outdoor patio furniture for their hotel, pub and restaurant guests.
We restored the benches at the front of The Crescent Inn – a traditional English pub in Ilkley owned by Bistrot Pierre – as well as the restaurant’s patio tables and chairs. Having previously carried out maintenance on their hotel furniture, Fresssh Image was then asked to restore the outside furniture to enrich the customer experience.
Our work at The Crescent Inn – a cosy pub and boutique hotel in the same building as a Bistrot Pierre restaurant – follows on from last year’s refurbishment of the outside furniture at Bistrot Pierre Plymouth. Bistrot Pierre has a collection of 22 bistrots across the UK.
As an experienced repair and restoration professional, our company director Keith Hobbs has worked with several independent and franchised restaurants, hotels and bars on refurbishment projects in areas such as Sheffield, Nottingham, Torquay, Cheltenham and Stratford-Upon-Avon. Keith was delighted when The Crescent Inn asked us to carry out work for the pub and hotel.
Ros, general manager at The Crescent Inn said: “It is a pleasure to work with Fresssh Image, particularly as the team is always more than happy to take the bigger furniture away and store it for us during the winter months. Keith and Annika took our patio furniture at the end of the autumn, restored them to a brilliant finish and then brought them back for the spring. Fresssh Image is very flexible and often works around us and our busy schedules, which is key.
We understand the importance of customers enjoying a great outdoor experience at restaurants or pubs – whether it’s for a casual drink, snack or for dining out. This is particularly important during the summer months. It is a key offering at The Crescent Inn – the look and design of the front and back of the outside space is crucial, due to the area’s high footfall. Many independent shops surround the venue, so the curb appeal must be considered. Potential customers often make a judgment about the quality of the hotel, restaurant and pub before they step in the door.
Ros added: “As soon as the weather is a bit brighter, our outdoor area is always busy and diners request to sit outside, so it’s important for our outside furniture to be ready as soon as Spring arrives. Our patio terrace is away from the main road, so it feels like you’re far away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre yet you’re in a prime location.
“The front benches look better than they did when we bought them! They have rounded the edges and have really brought them to life”.
